This course covered 2-D architectural drafting using digital drafting software, specifically AutoCad.

This image is the existing layout of the Hawthorne House. Throughout the class we took certain steps on AutoCad in order to renovate the home. We Created a Demolition Plan, a Construction Plan and Elevations for the kitchen. We also created a Detail sheet of the kitchen cabinets and of the wall detail.

Construction Plan
The Construction Plan displays the changes apart from the Demolition Plan. All the finishing furnishes such as furniture and appliances are shown on this plan. Created on AutoCad.
Kitchen Elevations
After the Floor plan is complete, designers start to hone in on the smaller details as show in Elevations. With the measurements taken straight from the floor plan, Cabinetry, appliances, windows, and shelving are shown through an Elevation just like the one on the left. Created on AutoCad.
Details
The detail sheet shows specific features in furniture and other things. Specifically in this case it shows the details of three kitchen cabinets, and a wall detail. The cabinets are shown from a side view, which is different from an elevation where you are looking head on. Same with the wall detail. Created on AutoCad.
