My Design Philosophy
I firmly believe that space effects the way we feel. That is one of the main reasons i'm in Interior Design. I want to be able to help people, even if that is just making someone happy. It brings me back to my childhood and the experiences I had when I stayed over at a friends house. Most of my friends had very different homes, some of which were nice, and some not. I have experienced homes where I didn't feel comfortable. As much as humans can have a good attitude about the environment around them, sometimes it is inevitable for us to not feel a certain way in a space.
As a designer I would love to look past the surface view of design, but check what is below the surface. The condition of a home doesn't always represent what is going on internally. I want to encourage design to be more than just a problem that is solved and done. However, I want to be personal with those I work with, and cater to the needs of the clients whatever way that is. As a designer my biggest piece of advice is don't limit yourself to what society supposedly limits you to be.
